I would agree 18 or 20 K perfect games in semis or finals are strong and a perfect game anytime still requires a pitcher to execute. Earlier in the playoffs, up to even the region finals I think that 6 to 7 bat estimate falls even further, perhaps as low as 4 or 5 and in that situation you can still ring up good strikeout numbers as the 4 or 5 hitters capable of putting the ball in play will probably be pressing(reaching outside the zone) because they know their chances to manufacture runs are limited. This gives a good pitcher with control an even greater advantage and chance to put up huge strikeout numbers.
